Ernest Steiner

Ernest Steiner has decades of experience as a senior executive in the international energy sector. Mr. Steiner, past president and vice chairman of the Louis Dreyfus Holding Company, has been a member of Lightbridge Corporation’s Strategic Advisory Council since 2006.

Mr. Steiner was the senior financial and operating officer of the Louis Dreyfus Group for more than twenty years, dealing frequently with utilities and major energy programs. He held various other executive and senior-level positions throughout the company and its subsidiaries including, for example, as director of Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas Corporation (one of the largest independent natural gas companies in the United States) and as director of Louis Dreyfus Citrus S.A. Mr. Steiner first began working with Dreyfus in 1972 as comptroller of the real estate division, after having started his business career as a senior accountant for Price Waterhouse & Co. Mr. Steiner is a director of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, a member of the American Advisory Council of the London Symphony Orchestra, and vice president of the Norwalk Community College Foundation’s Board of Directors. He has also served as director of the German American School of Management in Hannover, Germany.

Mr. Steiner received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
