John D. Taylor

Jack Taylor’s career has focused on international banking, project finance, private equity, risk and general management. He has led businesses operating in more than sixty countries; chaired or sat on the boards of companies around the world, public and private; and been involved in recent years with the design, development, and capital-raising for more than 250 transactions in Asia, the Middle East, and North America. He specializes in infrastructure, energy in all its aspects, startups, and emerging markets, especially Asia, where he has been involved since his graduate studies at the Indian School of International Studies in New Delhi.

Mr. Taylor has been a member of Lightbridge Corporation’s Strategic Advisory Council since 2006, when he retired as a founding director of International Power PLC, which operates power stations in twenty countries around the world, reflecting a diversified portfolio of more than 30,000 megawatts. He has served with the Asian Development Bank as the director of its Infrastructure, Energy, Financial Sector and Private Sector Operations, following a thirty-year career with Chase Manhattan Bank, during which he played a key role in developing its Asian business and served as the senior executive of thirteen international businesses. Mr. Taylor is also actively involved with issues of sustainable development, microfinance, disaster relief, and catastrophe insurance.

Mr. Taylor received his bachelor’s degree from Miami University, studied at the University of Delhi in India under a Rotary Foundation Fellowship, earned his Juris Doctorate from Duke University, and was admitted to the Ohio Bar Association.
