An expert in cost modeling and the economics of the nuclear fuel cycle, Dr. Andrey Mushakov oversees the nuclear fuel
Dr. Mushakov led Lightbridge's efforts to establish its Russian Branch Office in Moscow. He acts as the primary liaison between Lightbridge Corporation and various Russian nuclear organizations, including the Kurchatov Institute, MSZ Electrostal, and OKBM, and he oversaw for Lightbridge the successful test reactor irradiation testing program and thermal-hydraulic experiments in Russia. Dr. Mushakov was also instrumental in coordinating Lightbridge's collaborative agreements with AREVA, the world's largest nuclear energy firm, to investigate the use of thorium fuel in light water reactors. Dr. Mushakov earned a Ph.D. in economics from St. Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, an M.S. in management from Hult International Business School, and a B.S. in banking and finance from the Finance Academy of Russia.
