Senior Project Manager – Program Management Office
Company Overview
Lightbridge Corp is an advanced nuclear technology company developing next-generation nuclear fuel that enhances safety, efficiency, and proliferation resistance. We are expanding our Program Management Office (PMO) to support pilot-scale and production-scale nuclear fuel fabrication facilities, modeling and analysis projects, and high-complexity work in a regulated nuclear environment. All Project Managers operate within an EIA-748E-compliant Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
Position Overview
Senior Project Managers provide strategic leadership for cross-functional teams delivering complex facility build-outs, capital projects, and R&D/technical engineering efforts in a nuclear context. They own full lifecycle accountability, EVMS compliance, and PMO process development.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain integrated project baselines, actively managing the WBS, schedule, cost estimates, scope requirements, and risk register.
- Lead EVMS performance tracking and reporting (CPI, SPI, TCPI, VAC, etc.) with deep variance analysis and corrective actions.
- Deliver continuous project reporting, schedule forecasting, and decision-support metrics to the Project Sponsor, Project Engineer, and senior leadership.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, QA, regulatory, safety) and mentor junior PMs.
- Support regulatory submissions, gate reviews, and PMO continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or PMP strongly preferred); equivalent experience considered.
- 10+ years leading complex projects (nuclear, defense, chemical, fuel fabrication, or power plants).
- Deep EIA-748E EVMS expertise, including baseline management and performance analysis.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and proven success delivering multi-million-dollar projects through execution and commissioning.
- Experience with nuclear regulatory frameworks (NRC, DOE Orders) highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and strategic decision-support skills.
- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
- Expertise in R&D environments as well as standing up R&D facilities.
- A good understanding of Nuclear Safety requirements is helpful.
- Experience with sub-contractor management preferred.
