Enfission Announces VP of Fuel Development & Quality Assurance Jim Malone to Chair Panel at the 2019 World Nuclear Fuel Cycle Conference

Enfission’s VP of Project Integration and Head of Communication to chair sub-group on fabrication at the World Nuclear Association Fuel Cycle Working Group

RESTON, Va., April 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Enfission LLC, a joint venture of Lightbridge Corporation (NASDAQ: LTBR) and Framatome, today announced that Jim Malone, Vice President, Fuel Development at Enfission, will chair the Next Generation Fuel Cycle panel discussion during the World Nuclear Fuel Cycle conference, co-organized by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and the World Nuclear Association (WNA), being held in Miami, Florida, on April 8th through April 11, 2019.

The Next Generation Fuel Cycle panel will be held on Wednesday, April 10th and topics will include:

  • Increasing LWR fuel enrichment and burnup limits
  • Next generation nuclear fuels: completing the front-end fuel cycle
  • Fuel fabrication innovation and technology development
  • Liquid nuclear fuel: challenges and opportunities

Panelists will include leading experts on nuclear fuel analysis, development, and fabrication.

In addition, Lawrence Mercier, Vice President of Project Integration and Head of Communication at Enfission, as well as Deputy Head of Strategy, Fuel, at Framatome, will chair a sub-group on fabrication during the World Nuclear Association (WNA) Fuel Report Working Group meeting, which is being held in Miami Florida, from April 8th to April 9, 2019. Ms. Mercier will discuss the dynamic fuel market and the impact of new developments on the fuel cycle.
